Postcard Station is excited to announce a new art show with Sam Cornwall, on view at Bromley Mountain. This series is 18 signed editions of BOC athletes in action at Bromley Mountain. 7 of 18 of the prints are on display at Bromley Mountain Lodge. Proceeds go to the Bromley Outing Club.
Friday, February 6th, marks the beginning of the 25th Winter Olympics. To celebrate Vermont’s Olympians of today and yesterday, we are showcasing the newest generation of winter sports athletes, already hard at work right here in Southern Vermont. These skiers featured here all train and race with the Bromley Outing Club. This selection of drone photographs was taken the first day of gate training this winter on the Upper East Meadow trail on Bromley’s east face.
These unusual drone photos capture the vibrance and energy of these skiers getting back into the flow of racing gates. These photos, shot with a drone and long lenses, offer an alternative to the typical up-close race photo that show the athlete without the overall context of their mission racing downhill. Sam’s photos draw the viewer in with lines and shapes that explore the racers’ connection with their craft, the snow and gravity. The s-shapes of the course allude to the history behind these athletes while they follow the path to their futures ahead.
