Spring Sunrises

The Equinox reveals this unique light in our apartment at sunrise. The day’s first rays of sunlight are perfectly framed to create a beautiful window box glowing behind the fiddleleaf. I love the colors of dawn and this fleeting moment shows dawn’s best colors; blues, purples and golden hues abound. A real treat to experience, made all the more special by it’s rare appearance a few times a year in this room.

The Spring Equinox means this wild winter is winding down. Crocuses are on the way. Mud season is here… coming? going? We can’t be sure when it warms up this early. But, we can be sure ramps are on their way in April.

April is a favorite month to experience Southern Vermont and ramps are a big reason for that. The hunt for ramps is fun, and easy. Keep an eye out for more posts on ramps, including some recipes.
