The Super Bowl is here. And citrus season is well underway…
The Super Bowl is back and it still is America’s favorite ode to classic junk food and bar snack cuisine. What is a better excuse to make all your favorite bar snacks at home than the Super Bowl? It’s the best time to do your favorite DDD-inspired dishes. And, somewhere, Guy will be smiling down on you.

But, it’s also citrus season. All your favorites are in season right now. So, along with your guacamole, made from perfectly-ripe Mexican avocados, mix up a citrus-inspired drink to sip on while waiting for Kendrick to kickoff. Here’s what we’re drinking this Sunday, followed by margaritas.

Blood Orange Mimosa
- Prosecco
- Cointreau
- Blood Oranges – 6 to 12
- Rasperries
Slice 6 to 12 blood oranges and start juicing. 6 blood oranges gave us 8 oz with a basic electric citrus juicer, or a little less than 2 blood oranges per glass. Get out your favored mimosa glasses; a white wine glass, a champagne glass or whatever you have handy.

Measurements per drink:
- 1/2 oz Cointreau
- 2 oz Blood Orange Juice
- 2 oz Prosecco, Champagne or Sparkling
- 2 Rasperries
Place 2 raspberries in bottom of the glasses. Pour in the Cointreau and blood orange juice. Top it off with the prosecco. Repeat.

And to keep Guy happy, we are making an onion-queso dip. May his beautiful smile bless this high holy day.

Onion-queso dip
Enjoy Citrus Sunday and the Kendrick Lamar halftime show. Of course, we’ll keep an eye out for Tay-Tay.
